a) provide information on the principles of preserving the privacy of users of the website www.rialto.pl (the ‘Website’) used by the Company;
Hotel Rialto ensures at least the same level of privacy protection as specified in the applicable provisions on the protection of personal data, under the Act of 18 July 2002 on the provision of services through electronic means and the Telecommunications Law of 17 July 2014.
Hotel Rialto applies the precautionary principles related to maintaining privacy in connection with running the Website and the protection of personal data and, among other things, it ensures security of these data through the use of appropriate technical and organisational measures. In particular, it protects data against the access by unauthorised third parties as well as against processing thereof in violation of the applicable provisions of law. Hotel Rialto has permanent control over the data processing and restrains, as far as possible, access to data by giving access permissions only when indispensable for proper running the service.
Hotel Rialto is an administrator of personal data within the meaning of the provisions on the protection of personal data.
Powers of the Data Subject
Hotel Rialto provides the Website users with the exercise of powers under the provisions on the protection of personal data, in particular the right to access personal data, rectify, delete or restrict the processing of their data, the right to data transfer, the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority competent to protect personal data.
To the extent specified by law, personal data may be made available to entities authorised to receive it under applicable law, including competent law enforcement and judicial authorities.
Hotel Rialto does not collect any information automatically, except for information contained in cookies.
For statistical purposes and in order to ensure the highest quality of services, Hotel Rialto uses information saved by the server on the user's end device, which is then read each time the Internet browser is activated (the so-called ‘cookie’ files).
The term ‘cookie’ files should be understood as information saved by the Rialto Hotel servers on the user's end device, which can be read every time that the end device connects. Cookie files (so-called ‘cookies’) are IT data, in particular text files, which are stored on the user’s end device. Cookies usually contain the domain name of the website they come from, the time they are stored on the end device and a unique number.
Collection and use of information is limited to the necessary minimum, required to provide the services on the desired level, according to the Article 18 of the Act on the provision of services through electronic means. In particular, in the personal data collecting process, these data whose provision is actually necessary to implement the service electronically are highlighted. The provision of other personal data (i.e. data that are not necessary to perform the service electronically) is not mandatory, it is at the discretion of the data subject.
Installed cookies do not change the configuration of the end device.
Purposes and Types of Cookies
Hotel Rialto places cookies on the user’s end devices when using the Website for the purposes of:
a) adapting the content of the Website pages to the user’s preferences and optimising the use of Websites; in particular, these files allow to recognise the user’s device and properly display the Website, tailored to his/her individual needs;
b) creating statistics that help to understand how users use the Website, which allows improving their structure and content;
c) creating Website viewing statistics,
The Company uses two basic types of cookies: ‘session’ (session cookies) and ‘persistent’ (persistent cookies). Session cookies are temporary files that are stored on the user’s end device until the user logs out, leaves the Website or turns off the software (web browser). Persistent cookies are stored on the user’s end device for the time specified in the cookie file parameters or until the user deletes them.
The Company uses the following types of cookies:
a) used to ensure security, e.g. used to detect fraud in the field of authentication;
b) enabling the preparation of statistics that help to know users' preferences and behaviours, the analysis of these statistics is anonymous and allows the content and appearance of the Website to adapt to the prevailing trends, statistics are also used to assess the popularity of the Website;
c) enabling ‘remembering’ the selected settings and personalisation of the user interface,
e.g. in the scope of the selected language or website appearance, etc.;
d) enabling provision to the users of advertising content more tailored to their interests.
Website users may change the settings for cookies at any time. The settings can be changed, in particular in such a manner as to block the automatic handling of cookies in the web browser settings.
